year in review ahead.
We don't have to get too sentimental, but the end of the year is always a good time to reflect on what you've accomplished and where you've got to go. So, here it comes:
196 286 m² flowering meadow we have already been able to create with our cosmetics. That's a lot of flowers and huge areas for bees and insects to find food, shelter and habitat.
Pay more? Our cans were refilled 16,705 times. Thanks to the refills, not only could 534.5kg of tinplate saved but also a lot of plastic to the conventional non-refillable cream.
While our firstborn, the Thumb treat with beeswax, is still your favourite, the vegan counterpart is following suit more and more. Although the vegan thumb feast came later, are 29% your purchased thumb feasts already vegan. Something happened in the team too.
Something is also happening in our supply chains. As you know, we are gradually working on sourcing our ingredients directly. So far there was only the beeswax, but good news: this has now also been achieved with our olive oil and cocoa butter. We now get our organic olive oil from Greece from the olive oil farmer Chrys. We now get the cocoa butter from Peru from the cocoa cooperative of our friends at Elimba. All organic and all direct. We still have a lot in the pipeline in the new year, but of course it's a slow process.
In addition to our founders, this year we have our first 2 permanent employees (Nini and Luke) brought to it. In order to be able to continue producing enough, a lot more helping hands had to be used. Our team now consists of 13 people.
You will soon hear something about our goals, especially when it comes to our products. You can always find the latest news about this here.
Until then, let the year end well and look forward to 2022.
