What are thickeners?

What exactly is xanthan gum?

Xanthan is a naturally occurring polysaccharide. It is obtained with the help of bacteria from substrates containing sugar and used as a food additive with the E number E415 as a thickening and gelling agent. Xanthan is approved according to the EU organic regulation for the production of organic food.

Why don't we use a thickener on our cool head?

Quite simply: We strive to use as few ingredients as possible in all of our products. in the Aloe VeraGel we have achieved an aloe vera percentage of 99.6%, which would not have been so high if we had enriched the gel with thickening agents.
