We use beeswax because it is not only skin-friendly and sustainable, but also represents the most regional alternative to synthetic film formers. It combines natural care with a conscious promotion of local beekeeping and biodiversity.
Origin
Our beeswax comes from Dr. Lars Schröter's Bioland-certified Hammerbusch beekeeping business in Kiel. His bee colonies live on Bioland land and in untouched heathland areas in northern and eastern Germany. There they collect nectar from untreated plants such as rapeseed, lime and heather - sustainably and in harmony with nature.

Like almost all of our raw materials, our beeswax comes exclusively from controlled organic cultivation and even from direct trade!
