As you know, we plant flowering meadows for every product sold.
But do you know what types of flower strips there are?
Annual flower strips: Annual flower strips are particularly beneficial for birds, insects and small mammals. They provide food for birds and seed-stable varieties grow.
Perennial flower strips: Perennial flower strips are sometimes left standing for two years. This gives certain insects the opportunity to overwinter.
Wild sowing: With wild sowing, no seeds are scattered. This gives wild field herbs a chance to germinate and form leaves. Other insects find a home in this brighter area.
Plow furrow: In a plow furrow, the earth is plowed and a 20-30cm "dent" is left behind. This creates a so-called break-off edge for insects. Insects that live in the earth can find a place in this area.
Different types of flower strips allow insects to migrate back and forth between the two areas.
This interaction between seeds and animals increases biodiversity.
