Our sunscreen Naseweiss - perfect for van life

Unsere Sonnencreme Naseweiss - Perfekt fürs Vanlife

On the road from Mexico to Canada - Anne and Anna drive their van "Berta" through North America and ours Sunscreen SPF50 is there.

It was supposed to start in 2020. Then the pandemic came and thwarted their plans for the time being. In November 2021, the two were finally able to start and shipped their van "Berta" to Mexico.

At the time of the interview, the two have already traveled 10,000 km through Mexico and are currently in the USA. They want to be in Canada by November.

Eco-conscious van life

Anne and Anna traveled around Europe before the big tour. This is how they learned what they absolutely need in the van. What works and what doesn't. In preparation for the long-term trip, they then converted their van to be as “autonomous” as possible: they produce their own electricity, using solar modules, among other things. And thanks to the built-in drinking water filter for the RV, you can drink water from any source. The two no longer have to buy water in plastic bottles. In general, the two have a very conscious approach to the subject of water. While water flows out of the tap in infinite quantities in normal households, it is a noticeably limited commodity in the van.

Anna and Anne have also thought about how they can compensate for their trips with Berta. They have decided to compensate their tour.

Naseweiss on Tour

While spring is only slowly beginning to appear in Germany, the two are currently experiencing a lot of sun in the USA. Sun protection is an absolute must!

Before the trip, they asked themselves: what sunscreen should we take with us? Anna is generally a lighter sun type and therefore needs a high protection factor. Criterion number two when it comes to sunscreen: it has to be Be sunscreen that is harmless to aquatic ecosystems. The cenotes in Mexico, for example, are protected. Chemical sunscreens are banned there as they endanger and destroy underwater life.

So only a mineral sunscreen that protects the skin AND the environment came into question. Of the Naseweiss meets both criteria. In addition, it is still plastic-free and conveniently packaged. The Naseweiss has therefore made it into the luggage to North America.

Top tips for a weekend in a van

1: Take little with you. It is much more pleasant to travel with light luggage. A few groceries, water, some clothes and hiking boots in the camper and off you go!

2: The wildest roads often lead to the best places.

3: Just enjoy. If something happens, you can always find help from other campers and locals. Everyone sticks together and helps each other out.

And one last important point: Please take your rubbish with you! You protect the environment and the camper after you can enjoy the beautiful place again!
